LINCOLN, NEBRASKA – March 18, 2021 – The Military Family Scholarship was created to support students who are family members of military personnel and Veterans. The goal of this scholarship is to financially assist students in their pursuit of higher education while providing them an opportunity to share their story and inspire others to do the same.

This year’s scholarship winner is Jennifer Worrell. Jennifer is currently stationed in Germany with her husband who serves in the US Army. Jennifer is working on her master’s degree in Business Administration at Penn State University and is also working for the American Red Cross assisting the military community with family emergencies.

“I am so honored to receive the Military Family Scholarship! Now I will stress less about finances and be able to focus more on my studies” said scholarship winner Jennifer Worrell. “Thank you, Berry Law for this great opportunity, I still can’t believe I’ve been selected.”

This year also featured two runners up who received scholarship funds: Armando Krynick and Gavin Mast. Armando Krynick is an active duty Air Force officer currently serving at Hill Air Force Base, Utah and is pursuing his master’s degree in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University. Gavin Mast is pursuing his Master of Science in Counseling at Prescott College in Arizona. His passion is to provide access to effective mental health care in an effort to support the growth of healthy individuals and communities.

“The whole team at Berry Law is passionate about helping Veterans and their families. We are honored to assist these students as they purse higher education goals,” said Army Veteran and CEO John Berry Jr.
