Baldwin’s favorite Caribbean kitchen Pops & Poosh is pleased to announce the launch of their new restaurant in the hamlet. The restaurant recently had the honor of hosting leading social media influencer and entrepreneur Sal aka The Grubfather (@TheGrubfather) who had all the great words to say about Pops & Poosh’s authentic Haitian dishes and warm hospitality.

A fast rising name in the Baldwin food scene, the family-owned Caribbean kitchen commands a huge following (around 1100 followers on Instagram) over social media and The Grubfather’s recent stellar review of their restaurant has further catapulted their following to greater heights.

One of their most popular dishes is the Haitian patties that come with diverse choices of fillings, ranging from chicken to beef to cod fish to conch to veggies. Another crowd favorite is their signature Caribbean delicacy griot with rice & beans that’s served with a side of fried plantains.
Interestingly, the restaurant has launched weekend specials where they offer special menus each for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Pops & Poosh is a family owned joint renowned for serving authentic Haitian-Caribbean dishes for years. Per the statements of the Gervais brothers, theirs is truly a family business with every one of their family members holding a position. While Parnell heads the management and marketing/promotions department, Wagner takes care of inventory and overall management. And behind all those sumptuous Haitian delicacies, there are Mama and Papa Gervais (Jessie and Edvard Byron) who prepare, season and cook every delicious dish that comes out of Pops & Poosh.
The Caribbean kitchen initially started with private catering gigs and has catered at weddings, baptisms, communions, birthday parties, graduations, and even corporate events.
