The Colonizer: Chozen Productions’ Latest Feature Film, Set to Release in 2023 & Make Waves Around the World
Chozen Productions is proud to announce the upcoming release of its latest feature film, The Colonizer. This powerful and timely movie revolves around the life and circumstances of Kareem, a devout Christian Palestinian, whose life is turned upside down when Theodor, an unexpected boundary-pushing stranger, starts to challenge Kareem’s generosity and faith. The Colonizer is a parable of the ruin and colonization of Palestine in 1948 where many Palestinians of both Christian and Muslim faiths lost everything.
Chozen Productions hopes that The Colonizer will be available on one of the Top On-Demand Streaming Services by 2024.
The team at Chozen Productions have already entered previous work into various international film festivals and have won a prestigious Telly Award and Anthem Award for their short drama film, Conflict. In this powerful story, actor Chozy Aiyub plays both roles of Mohammad Abdullah and Moshe Levi – an impressive feat which earned him Best Actor in Gold Movie Award in 2022, and Best Actor Nominee in Utah Film Award 2023.
Born and raised in Palestine, Chozy Aiyub moved to the US in 2001. One of the first things that struck him as odd was people’s perception of Palestine and how it was far from the reality on the ground. With an aim to correct this misconception, he started telling Palestinian stories through film.
Chozy’s vision is for The Colonizer to captivate the audience from beginning to end, leaving them feeling inspired and empowered. With its combination of personal story-telling and a spiritual message, Chozen Production’s new release carries an impactful message that has the potential to last long after the credits roll. Chozy hopes to portray the reality to an audience in an unbiased way. He hopes that, upon watching his content, his audience will think, research and take action of their own accord.
